What is a Domain Name?
Domain Name is simply the name of a website. For example my domain name is shakescal.com, for Facebook it’s facebook.com and for Google obviously its google.com.
Why do I need one?
Domain name represents your brand. It represents your business, personal site, online shop, organization, and more. Domain name is your visitors gateway to your website. It is something that they must easily remember. Something remarkable on their mind. Choosing the right domain name is very critical and must be accompanied with a lot of decision making process in order to achieve a perfect name.
Domain Name Registrars
Domain Name Registrars are the ones responsible in registering your domains. These companies offer different types of domain extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .online, .music, .inc, and even .pizza! In order to acquire your own domain, you must purchase them to domain registrars at an annual cost. Of course, not all domains are available. Some domains are already taken and you can check a domain name’s availability through a domain registrar’s website.
